One of the biggest ways these guys profit is with "pay per click" advertising rates. When the spyware redirects you to a web site, the site that gave you the spyware in the first place gets credit for sending you to the site you're reditected to. It's usually a small per-click fee-- like a half a cent-- but if you get enough redirects, it can add up. Also the sites whose ads pop up, or sites that use spyware and hijacks to bring you to them (not redirect to someone else) can charge their advertisers more, because instead of 100 visitors a day, they now have 100,000. The method they use to count the daily hits can't tell if you wanted to go to that site or not, only that you've visited.

Spyware - absolutely. They track yourt activities on the net. This gives them a free polling system, instead of calling people to know what thye like, the spyware program tell those poople what is being surfed. They don;t have to spend money and time on polling bunch of people to see what they like.
Trojans - You bet, they can break into the system, grab your information like credit cards and bank accunts and other stuff like that. Although, I am not sure how you can use that (Just being Sarcastic)
Hijackers- stela airplanes not computer, what you mean is Hackers. Anyways, they could also steal personal information .They can also use the computer they break into as a resource, like to spam peoples computers (send advertisers over the net). Or send spyware and trojans. The computer that hacker breaks into is a great resource, becuase its hard to track who is sending the spam and spyware, if it seems like a person is doing it and not a hacker, This way hacker gets away scott free and no strings attached.
So yeah, get into it - there is a lot of money to be made. just kidding, I hate hackers.

yes, there are people who do profit from the function of spywares, trojans and adwares.
The first and the foremost thing is that their product is being advertised at no or little cost. That itself is a great achievement.
secondly, they get the opportunity to steal identity of people !
isn't that gud enough for profit?
