Yes, you can. A second cousin is not so closely related by blood that if you have children they could be born deformed... That is why it is illegal to marry your 1st cousin..But a 2nd cousin is so far removed there is no problem...And, even if a person does marry their first cousin, as many in the royal families have, it does not necessarily mean they WILL be deformed. Only ignorant and uneducated people, or kids, will tell you differently. But do talk to a priest, reverend, rabbi, whomever. They can tell you best. And remember, ignore the stupid people! You have already gotten answers from them! Hey people!! HE SAID 2ND COUSIN - NOT FIRST! It is legal in all states too. I can't believe how many ignorant people are out there!

Trying to keep it in the family? =-)
It may not be a good idea to start up with family sweetie. So what if ur second cousin's ur still blood related and that could mean that if u should have kids u they may be born with problems. U want to do that to ur kids? When blood lines are close it could mean ur kids could be born with major problems that will cause u and your cousin to have to tackle and the poor child will suffer
So u may want to think about not playing kissing cousins

The mental retardation thing is a little overstated. Inbreeding does not automaticly cause birth defects, it merely increases the chances that certain recessive genes will be joined, causes the problem, which has always been in the families blood, to manifest itself.
Second cousins are typicly too geneticly distant for this to be a serious risk, and I believe it would be legal for you to marry in many states.

Second cousins can marry eachother. There is no problem with it. I have met and seen many married couples who are second cousins and have kids. None of their kids have any kinds of mental/deformity problems. They are far enough related that their kids aren't going to have any problems.

You will want to contact your state's attorney general's office to find out. I believe this varies from state to state, just as the age you can marry does.

Depends on the state you live in. Some states allow 2nd cousins to marry. If you do, it would not be advisable to have children.

I think seconds cousins are distant enough that your kids won't be mutants. But I could be wrong.

you can get married if you love each other. but bare in mind that if you have children your genes can clash and you run the risk of mental retardation. if you do decide to get married adoption is always an option. after all you can't help who you love.
