Not enough evidence to prosecute?

Question

My case against the man who attacked me, choked me and tried to rape me was thrown out today because of lack of evidence. How can I get justice now? Through the legal system, not vigalante

Civil suit is a good idea. You probably won't get anything from it other than personal satisfaction.

I agree with Peaches. Since nothing materialized criminally, make it civil. Sue for pain and suffering. Should you win there, that means a court has found him liable of doing SOMETHING to you and could go along way should criminal charges ever come.

Well the best you could do is try again. Otherwise you need to get on with your life. I know your thinking its not fair he gets away with it but its also not fair that u waste precious hours/day/minutes trying to get justice on that creep. He doesnt deserve any more of your time. good luck.

Definately consult a lawyer about filing a cival suit against him.
If you have any hospital records that should be enough if your lawyer is good.

there is nothing you can do, get a restrainging order and make sure he stays away from you and your job. if the court threw it out then thats it, you can keep trying to covict him but if they threw it out once then im sorry there is noth8ing else to do. stay away from him and ask for his address and place of buissness so you can stay away from there too. good luck.
