When your birthday comes around, tell them your birthday wish........that is for them to stop calling you annoying nicknames. That would be the best birthday gifts from them.

Tell at least your friends that you don't want to be called by a nickname. If they're your friends they'll stop. As for the other people that aren't your friends, you could try saying something like, "the name's _____, not ______." I don't know if that will work though.

Hi Laura:
Have you ever tried speaking to your family and friends about this? Perhaps they don't know it bothers you.
Why not just come out and say to them " I really prefer that you call me by my real name and not a nick name"
Give it a try. If they know nick names upset you maybe they will stop.

Start calling them nicknames that would offend them in an offhand manner. Like they did me Chrissy-Pissy......and no I did not have a bed wetting problem just a pissy attidude!

i get called alot of annoying names too. i hate it , but i deal with it! In my 6th grade yearbook they spelt my last name wrong , they put FURNEY instead of GURNEY and then in 7th grade , for halloween i got corn rolls ... soo now some ppl call me ...
Corny Furney and it is soooooo annoying. but i got use to it ... lol .. what are the nicknames they call u???

My brother called me Toad all my life. The more I griped about it, the more he called me that. So, he rarely calls me that anymore. Of course, we are both in our 40s now!

tell them 2 quit maybe they will. if they dont give them a COMPLETE silent treatment. also dont agnowlege them.
