I was wondering if anyone could suggest places to see while I'm in the Pamplona area. I will run with the bulls, any tips out there that might help? Thanks.

~Run real fast and scout the route first for open doorways. I didn't and I got to tour the ER, Surgery and the re-hab ward. It can get downright gorey and that's no bull. Oh, yeah. And don't drink a bottle of Scotch before you start. Really slows you down.

First of all definetly do it! As far as tips for the run, you can either start at the beginning or the middle, you have to realize that the bulls are so fast that if you start at the beginning they will pass you up very quickly, i suggest starting in the middle, after the first horn sounds run like hell and find a doorway to stand in, wait for the 2nd horn which means the bulls have been released, wait for them and when they turn the corner jump out and start running, they will pass you but keep running because there is a 3rd horn with a 2nd wave of bulls (which I didn't know and bout got me good) Run hard and make it to the coloseum but don't get caught in the bottle neck entrance when the 2nd wave comes. Oh yeah and the way 90% of people get hurt is by falling and getting trampled by people so keep your head up and watch where you are going. Have fun, you will never forget it!

I ran it!!! Please remember three things when you run:
1. Listen to the people on the balconies!!!! They will tell you when a bull is close. When there is normal sound, run like hell to get to the stadium. When you here the women in the balconies scream (trust me, you'll know because it's at a different decible) find a doorway then continue to run again like hell when you see the bulls run past. Follow the bulls + the steer then listen for high screeches again.
2. Count the bulls (I think there is 6); I started jogging without counting only to find a steer right on my a$$$
3. Remember that they will close the stadium doors once all of the bulls and steer are in the coliseum. You do not want to be left out; You will feel like a loser running it, but getting locked out of the party--that's why I say run like hell when you can
3B- Don't listen to the people who tell you not to do it. We all have to do something crazy once in our lives. I'm also telling you, run the first day on good night's rest. The bulls are much smaller on the first day. The bulls seem to get much bigger and meaner as the festival goes on. Do not run more than once. It is a sign if you survive the first run. PARTY hard after the first run!!! I SWEAR to you that the party will last 140 hours straight. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING. The aprty will alst all day everyday until the festival is over. GOD, I wish I could run again. God speed my brother, run like hell....

Check out the places Hemmingway wrote about. That sounds like such a fun event. Crazy, wacky, nuts but fun! Hope you don't get too close to the bulls horns! Have fun!

I would wear Kevlar vests and try not to get gored. Good luck!
