fred meyer, kohls, target, most places offer some sort of layaway. you might have to leave a small payment for them to hold it. or you can just find somewhere in the store where you think nobody will look...stash your stuff there, and come back and get it when you have the money.

K-mart does
I do not think Kohls offers layaway either but I could be wrong.

Almost all stores offer layaway programs, espcially around the holidays. Christmas has become nothing but a retailer's dream, so they will do almost anything to get their customers to buy MORE, MORE, MORE.
