I can't seem to find a difference between the two types. And which type is better?

I have a fairly new PC and I have watched movies on it before, so which type should I go for?

PC DVD is a new way to put data into CDs. Its exactly like a movie DVD, but contains game data. Your computer will use a DVD-grade laser to scan the disc (so you will need a DVD-quality drive) and so it takes fewer discs to store the same ammount of data. PC DVDs are fairly new, and dont work on some systems. I'd reccomend going with the standard CD

a CD (Compact Disk) can hold up to 700MB of data while a DVD (Digital Versatile Disk) holds about 4.7GB. So basically, a DVD is a bigger version of a CD. They look about the same, but you will need a DVD drive to be able to read that format. If you have a DVD-ROM drive then it can also read CD's (downward compatible) but you cannot read a DVD if you only have a CD-ROM drive. There are also other formats available now like Dual Layer (DVD-DL) which is 8.5GB and Blu-Ray (BD) which holds 25GB and 50GB for Dual Layer versions. Basically, all of these disks are a media that can hold data (video, audio, files) and the difference is the amount it can store. Additional Info: the initials "PC CD(or DVD) ROM" just means Personal Computer Compact Disk (or Digital Versatile Disk) Read Only Memory.

Both contain the same data. DVDs however can store much more than CDs so less discs are required for the game. The DVD format won't be worth it if you don't have a DVD drive or if you have a DVD drive that's slow. I recommend you stick with CDs.
