Jon leans to the left, but I'm to the right of Atilla the Hun and I love the guy. You can tell he's liberal by what he constantly ridicules the Right for arguing about, i.e. gay marriages, but check out the way he does it. He keeps asking for a good answer on why we should legislate that? and he never gets an answer just sound bite responses. Did you see the Sanborum interview. He wouldn't answer why he thought traditional marriages were "better" enough to be protected. It was if he feared the people wouldn't agree with him. Of course some people wouldn't, he's on the right and there are some people on the left. If the majority of the people agree he gets to represent them again. It's how it works. And of course he'd get booed there, he's on the Daily Show in New York
But John does the same with his democratic guests (although I think he let Gore off easy the other night not asking him to show proof or a reference where we can get evidence and judge for ourselves if we think our fossil fuel emissions contribute to global warming to such a degree that we will kill ourselves off).
He beats up on the media more than any conservitave and he's better at it because he doesn't just say "oh they're liberal biased so we can dismiss what they say" He points out when they aren't reporting news but sensationalizing it for ratings or profit or just filling air time or not asking questions. Jon does some of that too but he makes no bones about being a parody.
I think when Jon is on his game he's one of the best interviewers around because he asks questions flat out with out being insulting or going to far and gets away with it because he doesn't try to nail his guests on every issue in one show. He just every onece in a while asks a guest to just give an honest, logical answer from their perspective. Sometimes he gets a good answer, most of the time not. And it's a shame he has to be a clown and limit himself to five minutes of interviewing to get what few good responses he gets. Or I guess the real shame is the regular media who has access to the caliber of guest Jon has don't feel that they can ask a solid question and get eigher an actual answer instead of a response or get an invite back.

I know you guys have a problem telling the difference between real life and media so let me help you out, Jon Stewart is a comedian on a TV show, and being a comedian, the Republican party gives him way more material than any Democrat could ever hope to provide.

Are you kidding me? Jon Stewart can't be claimed to have any affiliation with any party, despite his seemingly Democratic approach towards the President. He makes jokes about both sides, and just because he's somewhat hypercritical of the President, he can be affiliated with a certain party?
Are you kidding me? If anything the guy is the middle of the road and funny as hell.

The guy who builds up John McCain and asked Howard Dean how the democrats are going to take the short comings of the administration and blow it on election day? No, he is just a comedian doing his job of poking fun at the politicians. I think he is democrat but he does make fun of both parties, democrats haven't done much to give him ammo on lately.

Nope, there are plenty of actual politicians to act as their poster children.
