as you can see between 1956 and 1984 moolah held the title until she lost to wendi richter
the last title reign moolah had was in 1999 for about two months after defeating IVORY

the WWE took possession of the NWA Women's title, which she held from like the 50's till the late 1970's/early 80's. she held it for that length of time then when women's wrestling started getting televised and gained popularity in the early 80's, she started dropping the title to create some kind of buzz with the women's wrestling. i believe her loss to wendi richter at wrestleman I was her first title loss in 28 years - she lost/regained it several times after that.
