The USA willbe subject to serious natural diasters, particularly earthquakes & flooding & flatten the USA from end to end, cusing enormous conflict, despair, & misery. Our country will be bankruted attempting to deal with its disasters. Three other nations will aid its citizens to survive. The USA will be torn with civil strife & riotin as people migrate to areas that have water & can support crop growing. All this social upheaval & weakening of political structures will help the Antichrist come to power. THE DATES? Between 2006 and 2012. Is this scary or what!

The above is from the latest book of predictions called, "The Nostradamus Code: World War III," Chapter 4: The Time of Troubles. This book is based on manuscripts discovered by the Italians.

The problem with something like Nostradamus' predictions is that they were written so long ago, in language that was different from the brand of English we speak today, and using markers and metaphors that have to be interpreted. For example, you talk about the things that will happen to the USA, but it didn't exist in Nostradamus' time, so when people look at the original prediction and it refers to a world power, everyone today assumes that means USA, and that isn't necessarily so.
A very bright, previously unknown comet will appear and coincide with a time of great geological troubles. Okay -- but that doesn't tell you exactly when the comet will appear, or what the troubles will be.
Some interpretations of Nostradamus make it appear that he is able to predict events that are taking place in our times, or will take place in our times, but those are only one person's interpretations. Other people interpret them differently. So no, I don't think this is a scary time.

Well i cannot say that this is going to happen or not... but lets figure it out...

As he said "A very bright, previously unknown comet will appear & coincide with the time of great geological troubles." In this sentence the UNKNOWN COMET refers to a NUCLEAR WEAPON... which will destroy the whole country which will help the antichrist to take the power...

As Nostradamus has also said that during 21st century a III world war will be taken place... so if we see this and the above one it has some sense... UNKNOW COMET will lead to a war... This is what we can say from the words that he said which you have mentioned...

Well dont be so confident in these prediction... some may or may not happen...

No, it doesn't mean much. Biff the thing. For a start a lot of his stuff is doesn't make sense, and was never meant to. Good prophecy should make sense, and should be able to prove itself once the prophecy has been fulfilled. Looking back at US history, what makes "now" more scary than some other period? Wouldn't Stalins itchy trigger finger be more scary? Also, you haven't quoted which book / page number this quote is from. This is like taking a quote from the Bible and not stating where it's from. Anyway, if this was a good prophecy it should have started in 2001 or there abouts.

Of course not! The dates? Well, they've changed, haven't they over the years. Most read like horoscopes and are generalized enough that people can interpret them as they wish. Remember the movie "The Man who saw tomorrow?" Well, the dates have come and gone, the nuclear war never happened, and that is that. There are a few interesting things here and there, but generally, it is nearly impossible to figure out the future from the quatrains of Nostradamus.

I only believe in some of the predictions, because whether you believe in it or not, a lot of his prediction came true, for example the 9/11 attack was mentioned in one of his predictions, it described the disaster in a very detailed basis, and even thought a lot of people ignored it, it came true just like a lot of other predictions that he did when he was a child! This is extremely scary!!! I'm really interested in all kinds of topics like this one so if you wanna share something like this I'm all ears!!!

Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Sure, there's some merit to his suggestions, after the fact that the incident has already happened. The History Channel did a great segment on debunking some his acclaimed false predictions, and there are both skeptics and optimistic on his so called "prophecies". Of course, they allow the viewer to make their own conclusion.

In my personal opinion, I believe he is entirely misinterpreted and overrated.

If you believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Sleepy Hollow, then why should you believe in Nostradamus??? Stay busy, stop dreaming, be reallistic.

They are VERY convincing, but it is amusing that they are never "Understood" until after the fact. If they are true prophecy they are useless.
