I just ordered a doppler to rent for awhile. How safe are they to use? Can they be used more than once a day?

BE VERY CAREFUL
they are safe to use daily but ask yourself this
what is..........
~a normal heart rate
~a normal pattern
what would you do if........
~you cant find the fetal heart rate
YOUR BEST INDICATOR OF FETAL WELL BEING IS
fetal movements
if your baby moves in a similar pattern every day this tells you that their is good flow through the placenta hence good oxygenation
IF YOUR BABY IS QUIET
drink a sweet drink of cordial soda or the like wait 10-30 min and the baby should move
THE PRESCENCE OF THE FETAL HEART RATE ALONE IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF FETAL WELLBEING
babies can still be sick and have a fetal heart rate, listening in is a small snap shot of the baby
if u still want a doppler dont rely on it solely to check your baby is well REMEMBER MOVEMENTS ARE MORE IMPORTANT
RESEARCH ON THE OUTCOME OF WOMEN WHO OWN A DOPPLER SHOWS
increased maternal anxiety
increased reliance on the technology
decrease in their confidence to make decisions based on intuition
GO Natural
trust your movements
pregnancy is a well body condition dont make it an illness

I used one through my pregnancy to have peace of mind, and I ask my Dr, the same question and he said that is not a problem at all, and yes you can use it a couple of times a day and it won't harm anything, because it releases a very small amount of energy ( or whatever it is that releases), so don't worry, and listening to your unborn heart beat is the most beautyful sound in the whole world, I would actually suggest you to recorded like I did, so it will be with you forever, and even though my son was born 4 months ago I still like to hear it, congrats in your pregnancy and enjoy!

What kind of doppler? Like for taking a pulse in your feet if you have poor circulation? If that's the case, then yes, you can use it as often as you like with no known risk.

they're actually pretty safe to use, otherwise they wouldn't rent them out to just anyone. I rented one when preg with my youngest and they're actually pretty cool.

its pretty safe, but dont use it too often. just use it for a peace of mind.
