I would say yes he is teething. He should be drooling more too. If you have any of the teething toys that are filled with a liquid put them in the freezer and then give them to him . The cold toy makes their mouth fill better. My son cut four teeth when he turned four months all at the same time so no your baby is not to young. They sometimes get really fussy . It all depends on the baby. I hope yours has an easy time. I preferred freezing my kids teething toys than using the numbing gels but sometimes they are needed. If you take your finger and rub it on his gums you will probably feel his new little teeth or tooth coming thru. Of course you want to wash you finger first. It sometimes takes alittle while for the teeth to actually cut thru hopefully your babies teeth arent that difficult. Good luck .

Everything on here is right as far as symptoms go my daughter had puddles of drool all over the place and let me tell you it was usually on us when she started teething, anyway we tried all the things that were suggested as far as for her to chew on and all of them did not work so we got inventive. What we found that actually worked the best for us was beef jerky, she chewed and chewed on the stuff for hours and hours and she could never get a piece off that was too big for her to swallow and she never did choke on it, it did not lose its flavor at all so it kept her interest, and it kept its resistance so it was good for her gums. The only down side is it kinda looks bad when it has been chewed on for hours at a time but hey she was happy so I just went with it. I now swear by it and have suggested it to all of my friends. At night just before she went to sleep we would give her the infants Tylenol then the gum numbing stuff then the homeopathic teething tablets and she would sleep all night so that is what I suggest. She got her teeth 3 to 4 at a time so I feel your pain and like I said that is what we did because nothing else worked. I hope if nothing else works for you that does. P.S. my daughter also started teething at four months

sound like everyone has hit the signs off teething but here are so things to help throught he process.
Hylands teething tablets
found at wal mart and other stores in the baby section with the nipples
*** work great and really sooth the pain, helps my daughter a lot
put a wet wash cloth in the freezer for 10-15 mins and let them chew on it, the coldness helps numb them
***you can use a dry wash cloth if they don't like the wet one (my daughter don't she preferes it dry)
baby oral gel
this is a gel that you rub on their gums and helps for a while but produces a lot more drool
waffles
frozen eggo waffles
sound stupid but the work.
they are cold and they just turn soggy
when they start getting soggy take them away
rum
rum (captain morgan and those a like) work as a numbing agent. people say no no don't do that but sometimes it is the only thing that will work. not only does the alcohol clean the area of soreness but it helps to numb them. you don't let the drink it you just dip you finger in the rum and rub it on the gums
there is hardly any drooling and they stay numb for about the same time that the teething gels do
depending on the age of the baby you can give them ice water
my daughter 4 months chews on the cold nipple (she learned it was too cold)
they have these nets in the pacifier isle at wal mart for food you can get that and put frozen fruit in it and let them chew on that.
basically if it is cold and they can chew on it it helps with teething the best to sooth a crying baby that i have found is the teething tablet.
good luck and hope you see your first tooth soon
still waiting for mine

If baby is fussy and drooling, he/she will probably be teething. Also, their little noses start to run, and sometimes they pull on their ears. A cool teething ring to bite on will help. Also, numzit for infants can be found in the grocery store. Mostly, you'll just have to go through it with them.

If your baby is constantly drulling and crying most likely he is teething.Sometimes babies tend to swallow their drull and later cry because their tummies hurt too.The only thing you can do is ease his pain by applying orajel for babies and giving him a cold teething baby ring which can be found in the baby aisle at the grocery store. You can freeze the item then hold it (it'll probably be to cold for him to hold it)and let the baby chew on it.Just make sure to wash your hands every time before you pick up the ring. You don't want germs on the ring.I hope this helps

You can tell, if he is fussy a lot, has more drool and want to chew on things, like his hand or toys. what you could try is baby orajel on the gums or some infant liquid tylenol or motrin. Also try using a freezer ring. You can find them at any drug store or walmart. Just tell a clerk what you are looking for.

You can tell if ur baby is teething if they are drooling, biting on things, irritable, can sometimes have constipation.
I used bonjela occasionally on my daughter but i mainly just used a cool teething ring and i bought the teething bibs...they're bibs which have rubber on the corners so ur babe can chew on them if need to soothe the teeth.

Typical teething symptoms include:
Increased fussiness, crying
Red swollen gums
Excessive dribbling
Constant chewing on fingers
Increased demand for the breast or bottle
Rejection of the breast or bottle due to sucking pain
Loss of appetite
Interrupted sleep
Baby Anbesol...lifesaver!!!! Let him/her suck on cold washcloth (wet and put in fridge or freezer for a few minutes).
If baby is fussy and stretching body or hardened tummy, it could be gas. Can use gas drops (Mylicon)...another lifesaver!

If your baby is drooling a lot like a waterfall. lol put one finger in their mouth and feel their gums.
I lived by teething tablets- homeopathic helps especially when they are having trouble sleeping because of the teething.
teething tablets work, infants Tylenol or other infant relieve for pain.
