Most polite: Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee (west, not east, no offense to the east), Oklahoma (at least the ones I've met.) Friendly, many of them smile, polite, intelligent, classy, pretty, the way women should be. (I know there are nice and mean women everywhere, but these Southern states typically tend to be nicer.)

Least polite: Kentucky, California, New Jersey, Maryland, Ohio. Rude, impolite, bitchy, full of themselves, attitudes, many are nice to your face at first but change very quickly. They don't even say "please" and "thank you." Kentucky, believe it or not, is the very worst, especially Louisville--which also goes to prove that Kentucky is, in fact, a yankee state, but I won't get into that... The worst and most unappreciative girls I've met are from central and eastern Kentucky, and east Ky. has too much of that hillbilly culture, but again, another story for another day...

What is your opinion?

well.. ive been to the U.S. and what i have observed there is the people in san jose, california are nice.. actually, the people anywhere in california are nice.. ive been to los angeles and they were nice too.. rude people are in nevada.. i observed that there.. there's a lot of difference between california and nevada.. maybe because it's hotter in nevada and that's what makes their temper..

im from the philippines and here you can find a lot of polite people.. we use the words "po" and "opo".. that's a filipino word that shows a sign of respect to others..

I find it interesting that people mention the south, but when they do, they never mention FLORIDA. I don't know how much more south we can be, unless you count Cuba. LOL!
I think the thing that gets people to think the south is more friendlier is the accent. That southern drawl.
I actually found people from WA and UT to be friendly. The job I do, I talk to people all over the country and internationally on a daily basis, so I get to know people and talk to them. I found that NY seemed to be friendly to me, MS and AL were not so friendly oddly enough. They kind of seemed bothered I called when im giving them work for their business and in turn they make money.

Mississippi women are nice. I know I am one! I don't know any state where the women are just plain rude. I might have met one or two in a state, but I refuse to judge an entire state on a few mean women.

Nicest: most southern states, Maryland, Kansas

Rudest: New York, Chicago, New Mexico, parts of CA (mostly urban areas)

If you are polling outside the US, I would imagine that women are the most polite in areas where they are given the least status such as India, Iran, etc. where they are not allowed much autonomy.

The south is most definently the most friendly part of the US, especially texas, alabama, and georgia. But places like NY and Cali apparently really dislike people from the south or something b/c ive heard they are really rude to southerners...

Most polite would be Texas and least polite probably Washington DC. Course the least polite is just a guess since I've never been there and never intend to go. LOL

I am from Louisville Kentucky and I am a female and I am very polite, but to be honest these females here are bitches and they make you want to spit on them and cuss them out! But Everybody here is not like that they are very friendly here it all depends on how you greet them and respect them. If they are real women they will respect you and be appreciative but if they are bitches they will act all stuck up and nasty, it really isn't who has the most polite women but it is the difference between women and bitches!

I agree that southern states are best!!! The people i met in Texas were da bomb. and the accent only made it more cool. i havn't been many places, but i know the mormons in Utah pretend to be nice, but underneath the fake politeness, they're always trying to "fix" you, and "convert you" so they can "save you". seems kinda bitchy to me. they're never happy until you change. so my opinion.. least polite: Utah.

Depends on how you view polite.
If it's not wasting your time (and letting you know it) then New Yorkers would rule :-)

Really, as far as being "nice" and considerate-- Southern Gals rule... and anyone on the coasts is probably too crazy from all that pollution to care.
