Perception of color develops with age - so , by the time one is 8-10, they will be more sensitive to colors then much younger kids. Genders also affects colors as females see more shades of particular colors (green, for instance, no pun intended!)... but that would also mean that men are more aware of the contrast (remember that cones are responsible for colors and rods are responsible for blacks and whites)... Other factors that might affect your perception of color (or shades of colors) is your surroundings/ envoironment (say if you are a designer or if you are borught up in a house full of painters, you would see be more sensitive to colors then someone who isn't)...
PS:: hope this helps!!!

No, they don't. In fact, many people see colours, shades and tints differently with each eye and their brain blends them into something that is acceptable to both eyes. That sounds weird, but try it for yourself. Cover one eye and look at a colour chip, then cover the other eye and look at it again. There will be subtle differences between how each of your eyes perceive that colour chip.
Usually your dominant eye sees it closer to what it is and the other eye will see it with a very slight bluish tint.

I can't give you a medical or scientific answer, but I can tell you from personal experience, that my mum and I often disagree with what colour something is - not just from a name perspective, but seriously, she says something is blue, and I'll say it's green, or something like that. I've also had this experience with others, and if there is a group of people, we have been known to come up with 3 different colours for one thing, or take sides etc.

No I don't think so. Me and my family agree and disagree on the color of things a whole lot. Tell you what I will give you really good advice. Ask a scientist.
