I find it hard to believe, even if the democrats win the Senate, which I think they will, that they will get enough Republicans to get the 2/3 required votes!
While I think the Repubs will lose the Senate, which is the branch that Impeaches presidents, I don't think the Democrats will take the House until 2008!

There have to be very specific charges against the sitting President to be impeached. Republicans loosing both houses, however unlikely, in a mid-term election would have absolutely no bearing on the sitting president. He would probably just become a more LAME duck.

The chance that the Democrats could pull together a sufficiently cohesive campaign to unseat the Republicans in both the House and the Senate is effecitvely zero, so your question is moot. Even were they to pull off this feat, it's unlikely that they could must enough votes in the House to impeach, or in the Senate to convict.

Just because the Democrats had a President impeached, doesn't mean we have to impeach all Presidents from now on!!!!! Democrats are just sore losers. They can't take a beating and move on. They are living in the past and doing their best to humiliate President Bush. Pres. Bush will not stoop down to their level.

There is very little chance of Democrats taking over the Senate. I put the House at 60 /40 in favor of the Republicans keeping control. But granting the hypothetical, NO!!! It would never happen.

It's next to impossible to even contemplate, but - yes - I believe Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and the entire U.S. Congress should be impeached - or tried for high treason. If convicted, they should face a public firing squad.

Thomas Jefferson once said: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." That time is way overdue.
It's time for American citizens to take up arms against a tyrannical government. Voting won't work. Even if you throw all the crooked Republicans out, you only replace them with crooked Democrats. Our political system is nothing more than a cesspool of indecenty, immorality, avarice, and arrogance. Elected officials are supposed to be public servants, NOT all-powerful royalty.
Jefferson also said: "When the people fear the government, it is tyranny; when the government fears the people, it is liberty." He also said: " The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."
