The egg, because whatever laid the egg wasn't necessarily a chicken. Evolution through mutation. That's how it works.

The chicken obviously layed the egg. Think about it; If the egg came first, who layed the egg in the first place.

at most restaurants, eggs are served first with chicken being served later in the day. Or, another take, dinosaurs laid eggs and existed before chickens, so eggs came first before evolution brought forth the first chicken. or, in a race would bet on the chicken unless it's downhill.

The Chicken because something had to have the egg right? Also, see it the way people got here. We just *pop* appeared right? So did the chicken! LOL.

think about it, its the egg. lets say dino chicken's family layed eggs for 10000's of years, the first chicken that was the same as our chickens today had to come out of that egg! so i rest my case, the egg came first!

People, the egg! Dinosaurs are reptiles, therefore, they laid eggs. All of the birds that evolved before the Chicken laid eggs. Fish laid eggs. Any primates that evolved before the Chicken had eggs in the womb. Eggs existed for-freakin-ever before the bloody chicken!

Gahh!

well i believe the chicken came first because God created the animals and the plants and all other living things and i guess that wouldnt include an egg because eggs arent living untill the last month when the embryo has developed lungs

The answer is chickens came first, they came from outer space and then started laying eggs and the cycle continues.

The Chicken came first.

A chicken is a chicken whereas an egg is merely a potential chicken.

The chicken, of course. An egg can't care for itself, it would freeze, or someone would crack it. And if by some miracle it hatched, who would feed the chick? Teach it to provide for itself? Protect it? Eggs can't create themselves I believe God created Earth, and everything in it.
