Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio is by far the best. It has also been officially voted the Best Park In The World for 8 consecutive years by the Amusement Today Golden Ticket Awards.
The reason: the park is well laid out to have a high capacity and has many great coasters including the #1 coaster on the planet (by the Golden Ticket Awards) Millennium Force, the #3 best Magnum XL200, #7 best Top Thrill Dragster, and #11 best Raptor. They also feature several good non-coaster thrill rides including maXair and Skyhawk. The park features 16 coasters (the 2nd most of any park, second only to Six Flags Magic Mountain who have 17). -But, they are building a new coaster for the 2007 season, so they will again be tied for the most coasters (coaster parts are laying outside the Breakers Express Hotel).

Walt Disney World in Orlando (Lake Buena Vista), Florida. It's simply and obviously the best because it has four different theme parks, as well as two water parks. There's plenty of thrill rides, along with many rides for young children, and all kinds of stuff everyone and anyone would enjoy. You could stay there on Resort property for a week and not do any attraction twice... compared to Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Sea World, Cedar Point, Six Flags, etc., that take less than a day to complete. Plus, it's the Happiest Place on Earth!
(I have a whole lot to say about Walt Disney World... but I tried being brief at your request.)

I guess it depends on where you live and what you're in to. For instance, Disneyland in Ca is great, but there are two parks there. So, would it be CA Great Adventure or just Disneyland. Also, there are parks that incorporate animals, conservation and rides, those are the ones that I like best because I have a young son. If you are looking for a park that has a lot to offer to those young and old alike, perhaps you should think about Marine World or something similar??? It's nice sometimes to take a break and take in an animal show...

Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. The main park has 16 roller coasters, most of which are record holders. The coasters onclude: Raptor, Millenium Force, Mantis, Blue Streak, Gemini, Magnum XL-200, Wicked Twister, Mine Ride, Corkscrew, Disaster Transport, Jr. Gemini, Wildcat, and Woodstock Express. On top of having the best rides in the world, they also have incredible restaraunts, beautiful beaches, Hotel Breakers which is gorgeous. The park also has a feeling of old and experienced to it. It has been around since the 1800's. Plus, Soak City is incredible for its Lazy River, huge water slides, and white water river. Cedar Point recently opened their year round indoor water park called Castaway Bay which has a water coaster that can shoot you upwards.

I vote for Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio. They have the most coasters along with the best smaller rides, a waterpark and a fantastic kids park. Not to mention 25 cents for cotton candy!!!! Oh and I forgot the beach -- ahhhh wonderful!

Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles has more roller coasters than any other park with 17! Plus it holds many records and their rides are a blast!
