Bearded dragons will get full length with in the first year, at about 6mths expect to see a lot of growth real quick as long as he's being properly cared for - UVB lights, temp, vitamen D3, & of couse a good diet.

As soon as it is born. It isn't unheard of to see a bearded dragon grow nearly half an inch to an inch within a week. With healthy amounts of calicum and UV lighting they can grow from 2in to 14in within less then a year.

since you have a bearded dragon, you should start using alfalfa pellets (like the ones bunnies eat) instead of sand because if they swallow sand it can get 'em sick, also the alfalfa pellets smell fresh and they almost completely cover up the smell of dragon poop and make it easier to clean.
+ its cheaper than Vita Sand!
and never feed it iceberg lettuce!! it makes 'em sick!
only feed him spinach, green leaf lettuce and regular old grass.

They should start growing just as anything else, but here are a couple of websites that can give you some reliable information on them. I have been wanting one of them for so long!!!
