like maybe be less shy, but how do you do that.
or like what can you do to make them think your cool and want to hangout with you and be good friends..?

Don't waste your time trying to get people to like you. Be yourself and those who are meant to be your friends will naturally migrate towards you.
When I was young, I was picked on everyday of my life by my classmates. I've asked myself this same question and if I knew then what I know now, I would've changed a lot of things.
If you have to impress someone to get them to like you or think that you're cool, they're not worth knowing. Popularity in school means nothing in the real world. Just be the kind of person you are and don't worry about what others think of you.

You can't make people like you. You can start by forming a group of people together to hang out. Invite a group over to play pictionary, or go to the park , beach, what have you. YOU do the inviting and take it from there. Don't wait to be invited to something. Not going to happen all the time. Be a leader in this one.Have fun!

Why do you want them to like you. To be seen as cool. You need to be cool period. The coolest kids always get to be popular. Otherwise you can settle for a few friends by inviting them to your mega slumber parties where they can listen to your cool collection of Hip Hop and R&B music and watch cool videos and yak about cool boys and girls and makeup. Interesting gadgets that no one else has always helps - the new ipod, makeup, music CD etc. So you need to dress nice, act like a b**** and look pretty slutty dawging all the boys.
If you want them to like you for you. That requires non-shallow kids with none of their own insecure issues, getting to really know you by hanging out with you at lunch or after school. You need to pick one kid and work on getting that kid to like you, hopefully she has many friends and once you work your majic on her, she will introduce you to her clan and voila you will have more than you bargained for. You must be open minded and most of all fun to hang out with - meaning you must share the same interest as the kids you want to hang out with.

talk bout things the other is interested in. if you don't know what they are interested in ask. yall should come up with something yall have in common then things will go from there!
