Men do not stop and ask for directions because they feel that by stopping and asking for directions they may have to admit that they are wrong. They also feel as though it is an insult to there manhood to stop and ask.

Whoa young lady. Don't judge or include all in this question. I for one obtain maps and any other things I need before I even travel and I ask questions enroute to make sure where I am or what I need to know. I agree that there are some idiots (men & women) who just jump in their cars and take off in the general direction where they are going but have to ask directions at one time or another. I asked about 20 people about a year ago how they know what direction they are traveling in during day-light hours. Out of 20 people there was only one that gave me the correct answer and it was a man. The others were 6 men and 13 women. None even knew which direction the sunrise came from nor the direction it went down. Do you?
If you'll read all of your answers it would seem to me that the younger generation lacks brains.

The reason men don't ask for directions when travelling is because they always think they know everything. My husband is the same, if he wants to go somewhere and won't admit he doesn't know where he is going he asks us to go with him, so we can navigate and if we get lost, then he can blame someone else. So now i don't go with him anymore. He now has a navigations device in the car, and that helps him now.

Men like to be problem solvers not people WITH problems! I.E. "I don't know where I'm going". Should they get over it? Probably. Should women allow them this and ask for them? If you love the guy and have been married to him for 26 years, why the hell not?

i was gonna say i'll stop and ask for directions. I'd rather ask then irritate the girl with me. Grumpy girls are not worth it.
