and why? A few different categories here, along with my choices:
1) Funniest- Trading Places- bad guys get a royal screwing and the good guys come out on top.

2) Coolest- Con Air- anyone who's seen this one knows why.

3) Saddest- Radio Flyer- the little kid dies.

4) Sappy but you had to like it anyway- Willy Wonka.

5) Worse Ending Ever- Mortal Thoughts, because everything you just watched before the ending turned out to be a lie.

6) And most ironic to real life ending of a movie-
Elektra Glide in Blue:
Robert Blake's character gets shot and the guy who did it gets away with it.

No country for old men -- I love an open ending LOTR Return of the king --- Classic Olver! (1960) -- Cant say why... just loved Oliver Twist BQ: Avengers BQ2: Transformers 2.... I was expecting big things... but it was pretty average. Not much thought put in to the story. Movies like that should have a brilliant follow on from the first movie with twists and themes relating back to the original. Just didn't feel that from the 2nd one. Good from 8-15yo's though

I hated the ending to The Break Up (don't get back together) and Butterfly Effect (any one who has seen this knows why)
I loved the ending to National Treasure (found it and threw off the bad guys- the right people went to jail) and the Da Vinci Code (same reason as national treasure).

I guess one of my not-so-favorites falls in #6--Cold Mountain.

Nicole Kidman and Jude Law go through so much to be with each other, and then he gets killed. She ends up having his baby, but it just stinks after all they went through to try to be together despite the Civil War and all.

#4--You've gotta love those teen movies that Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, etc. star in--even if you don't like them (What a Girl Wants, A Cinderella Story, the updated Freaky Friday)--because they always end up with the cute guy.

least-favorite: ending of Godfather 3, where Michael's daughter gets the bullet meant for him.
most-favorite: the ending of the "Good, the Bad, and the Ugly"-where Clint Eastwood, after leaving Tuco (Eli Wallach) balancing on a grave marker with his hands tied behind him and a noose around his neck, suddenly appears in a clearing and shoots the rope letting him live.
