Was this a gemuine introduction by Islam or was it an old idea borrowed from other cultures? compare the judaic, christian, and Islamic concepts of God.

Monotheism first started in Egypt. There were many cultural influences in Islam (and in Judiasm).

One of the oldest monotheistic religions is Judaism. Christianity is monotheistic. Both of those religions were around before Islam.

Interestingly, both Islam and Judaism both have their beginnings with Abraham. Although, Islam was established in 600AD.

They believe in the Old testament and in the same God we believe in.
