We live in a society of instant gratification. You ask an answer here, and you get an answer instantly. If you need to research an important topic, you no longer need to make a trip to the library. Reliable resources are now available online. Not so long ago, email was the fastest source of communication. Now we IM and have cell phones. We no longer make dates a week ahead of time. We use IM or cell phones to make instant dates 1-2 hours beforehand. We live in a "fast" society. Technology has invaded our lives and put almost any information or task at the tips of our fingers, cell phones, computers, or blackberries.
But you know what? That technology has not been able to invade the roads yet. We have highways and interstates full of wired people who live wired lives. Every second counts. All the technology in the world cannot prevent slow traffic, accidents, careful drivers, or folks who are lost.
It is time to put that hurry up and get out of my way "rage" aside, and start waving at strangers with all of our fingers again!

Because there are so many bad drivers who don't need to be on the road. I am the nicest person, but when it comes to people going 30 in a 65 drive me nuts. Or people who don't know how to use a signal... they were put on your car for a reason!! Or semi-trucks who seem to think they own the road really P- me off.

Part of it is the incredible power of most modern cars. This can bring out the worst in some drivers. I think people drove more carefully in the 50s,at least in California,but the cars were nowhere near as safe.

Because we all,have gotten use to "instant" everything!
When we come to a traffic light and it's not green---right
then,we get angry.Slow drivers,drivers that Could have made it thru the light,but,stopped instead! We are so conditioned to
"instant satisfaction", we are spoiled!
