Live Pinkies?

Question

My brother went away for a while and ask me to look after his baby snake. He eats baby pinkies (mice), and I was told he likes to eat them alive. I live in Vancouver, British Columbia, does anybody know any petstores that carry live pinkies?

Call the local pet store and ask them if they have live mice. If they dont they should know where you can get them from. But I bet they have them tho. Why didnt your brother buy them for you before he left? Seems inconsiderate since he asked you to look after HIS snake.

Your brother should have told you where to get the pinkies!

If you can't find any at the local pet shop, look for a pregnant mouse or rat. Buy a little cage, it won't take long before dinner is delivered.

Or check and see if the pet shop knows of another herp customer who may have some. It is common for some to raise their own food, and they might be willing to share.

If all else fails, frozen pinkies, thawed and dipped in chicken broth will often work.

If you can only find them frozen, you can warm them up in the microwave and probably get good results, too. That's what a friend of mine did when he owned snakes, got his mice frozen and warmed them up in the microwave, just enough to get them thawed and warm, not hot.

i used to have a pet snake a ball python named reia but you should be able to find pinkis at any local pet store

im sure that most local pet stores do. also you can just breed mice.. and feed the snake the young.
