My Compaq Presario floppy drive keeps trying to run and it doesn't even have a disk in it. WHY!!!?

It runs for about 2 to 10 seconds and then stops. It does this a couple of times every night.

It's not the fan.

Its called computer setback time. This happens when the computer tries to reprogram itself and regenerate its memory. It's normal for this to happen.

How do you know that? Maybe It's the fan what you hear, there's nothing wrong with it, It's just the fan.

Might be the virus scanner.
