Well to them the questions are not dumb, sometimes people ponder and wonder about things or they have something that is on their mind all the time and then they ask their questions, but i think it is good to ask questions no matter how it sounds cause if you don't ask you will never know, actually last night i asked myself the same question but i had to realize that people have different ways of thinking and we have to accept that, but the questions that actually seem dumb at times they can make since, it is all really just logics that comes together!

Because there is a neat little piece of paper in this country that guarantees us freedom of speech. So, we exercise that freedom whenever we can, whether we should or not. I for one love that we can ask dumb questions and give dumb answers, just because we want to. Wouldn't want to live anywhere where I couldn't because I'd never be allowed to speak, everything I say would be censored. (Maybe most of what I do say should be.)

Your question is somewhat dumb - or at least it could be interpreted that way. Someone else's answer might be dumb. Mine could be interpreted that way. Since the only person who's intentions you can know are your own, then only you can know (in most cases) if it was a dumb question, i.e. one intended not for an answer but to be idiotic and ridiculous or if it is a genuine one.

Sorry. I was wrong. There seem to be many dumb questions that are obviously dumb questions. Such as this question by evilfrog9: "answer.now.NOW!... RIGHTT NNOWW!!!! what are YOU WAITING FOR ANDd goooooooooooooo... hurry it up."
"everyone wants to go to the future, but future no want them cuz we . . . no d anser HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"
Clearly a stupid question.

Because there is this thing called boredom and there are no rules against what qualifies as a dumb question and a dumb answer.

There are really no dumb questions when someone has at least some thought process in motion. I answer questions to brush up on my keyboard skills, maintain grammar proficiency, spelling accuracy and keep my mind fluid. It also gives me excellent finger exercise, which is good for my stroke ridden digits.

Dumbness is in the eye of the beholder. Just because you think something is dumb doesn't mean that everyone feels that way.
