Go to:

www.kahlon.com

They have an excellent site for finding out exactly what your computer needs in the way of memory. They've also got some of the cheapest prices on the net.

You can find out what you need and then comparison shop at:

www.newegg.com
www.tigerdirect.com
www.ebayexpress.com

I think you'll find that 1GB laptop RAM will run around $100 at some of the cheaper sites.

I have found from experience that with RAM you don't want to go cheap. Inexpensive maybe, but not cheap. Otherwise you'll just be setting yourself up for problems. I have found the least expensive, quality RAM from Crucial. They have a very good tool for narrowing down the requirements to just the right modules you will need for your system. Check them out.

What kind of memory does it take?

Find that out and then check:

and
http://froogle.google.com/

Best Wishes.
