He's always asking me for help, but if i say no he keeps pushing it and says some really bad things about me until i say yes.

The moment a mean remark comes out of his mouth, you need to say "excuse me" and walk immediately away. Do this every time. He will soon learn that if he can not be appropriate he will get zero attention. Try not to get trapped with him in the car or anywhere else that you can not use this intervention. If you have the discipline to do this, and not "engage" with him when he gets nasty than you should be able to train him. At the same time, when he is behaving himself try to give him the attention he is seeking. Best of luck.

Is he older than you? Maybe if you just shut down and didn't respond to him , he'll eventually leave you alone. If he needs you that bad, you have the upper hand. Don't give in, let him figure things out for himself, otherwise your just creating a selfish person. Be strong, he'll love you for it in the future.

well... you may not be able to stop him... but you can try to better control how you FEEL about his remarks. If you don't react the way he expects you to, then he will lose interest in insulting you. So, next time just smile and say something like " you're only trying to hurt my feelings to get your own way... and I'm not falling for it this time". and don't let it get to you.

my brother does this to but my brother is just messing with me ive learned to tolerate it i just say what ever sense i started doing that he hasnt called me any names lately.when your brother says a mean thing to you just say whatever eventually hell quit because its no fun making fun of somebody unless they get angry or upset people do this for meany different reasons just dont let it bother you hewill stop soon.

just ignore and be the same a b***h when he wants help, i know what u mean my brother was a a** to me he truly knows what i think....
