I'm perfectly fine with the idea of gay marriage. Perhaps those against gay marriage just done want to be outdone by spectacularily fab weddings that are sure to be the result of gay weddings. On the downside, if gay weddings would be lavish, tastefull affairs can you imagine how nasty a gay divorce would be! Yes, I am being silly, but in all seriousness I think that whoever wants to get married should be able to.

Do you want an answer or not? Are you too lazy to read the answer that I have worked so hard to post for you?
My short opinion is that marriage is a religious institution. It is a vow that 2 people make to God. If 2 people want to vow to God that they will live the rest of their lives in sin then that is their choice. God gives us the freedom to make our own choices even if they are wrong. Marriage is something our government has no right sticking it's nose into. Separation of Church and State. The government does not have the Constitutional authority to make laws concerning marriage. They have done it already and in my opinion it was a mistake.

What people do is their business. Thousands of divorces ruin the sanctity of marriage everyday. Outlaw divorce! They use the argument that gay people getting married will ruin marriage's sanctity. You can't do that unless you outlaw "sex before marriage", divorce etc. first, since they were happening for as long as anyone can remember.

Let them get married. They dont want anything to do with you so why do you have to pry into their lives. If two people are happy with each other then why do you have to get in between them if you dont even know them. Just because they are gay doesnt mean they are bad people or evil.

I think it is unnatural and sets a very bad example for children growing up in an already messed up world.

Until we fix marriage for straight people, I wouldn't want to screw up anyone's else's life with those problems.

If consenting adults want to get married, who is anyone else to tell them not to? They aren't hurting anyone.

I am a Christian. I feel that it is not right. God made a man and a woman to pro-create. That is how it should be.
