I think we live in an environment in which women often feel extremely competitive towards one another. Many women were taught at a young age that other women were the competition, whether that be the competition for a good husband or a good career. It is human nature to desire to be accepted, and rather than join together and support one another, often times women put each other down and compare themselves to others in a misguided effort to feel better about themselves.

We are constantly comparing ourselves to other women because the men in our lives are constantly looking at other women. If we were looked at the same way by the men in our lives, we would not feel the need to compare ourselves to other women.

I agree with you, there's no need. But, it's probably because if they are better than someone else in a certain area it boosts their self esteem. Guys don't support the women in their lives enough so they create their own ways to feel good about themselves.

each body needs to experience significant. each body needs to experience particular. truly, i do not comprehend why neither. i imagine it has to do with the media putting stupid recommendations in our heads like, if adult males are not dropping their jaws for you, then it potential you're not any further truly worth it or no longer pleasing...etc. that is so unhappy. I easily have a cousin who's truly exceedingly and at the same time as human beings praise her, she tries to downplay it through hatin' on herself in order that she doesn't get crap from different females. Us females are kuh-razy!

what ur in essence asking is why arent ppl happy with what they have and who they are as a person. the answer is different for every individual person. its a shortcoming which ppl have to get over by themselves. the american culture certainly does nothing to encourage getting over this phenomenon and being content with who they are. oh well.
