YES! With my last DD I was 1.5 CM, a week later I got checked and I was 0.. very annoying!

Of course you do! Once you open your hand, can you close it again? It is the same thing. The muscles do the work for you. If you are worried about not being as sexy as before you have a baby, then do some exercises when you are pregnant. After you have your baby, you can do an exercise called Keigels. Don't worry, it will be fine.
Besides, it is the cervix that dilates, not the vagina.

after the baby is out you close back up, but you wont go from 5 cm dilated to 3 CM dilated before the baby is born.

I didn't think so until a couple of months ago when a friend of mine was in labor and she was being enduced and they said she was dilated 8 cms. and then they reduced the medicine because the labor was going to fast and she went back down to 3. I didn't understand it. But I guess it could.

No, you will continue to dilate until after the baby is born.

nope...but you can be 1-3 for awhile even weeks with out labor starting

unfortunately not if you are early u may have to be put on bedrest til baby is born.
