Sadly because they work. Catchphrases are like commerical jingles, they get in your head and its hard to get rid of them, that's why they use them.

Johnny Cochrane used that term during the OJ Simpson trial.. I think you need to come up with a different example. A slogan is a slogan and both democrats and republicans have been using them for years,

This is a perfect example of how liberals don't know anything about history, and this one's fairly recent. How did you come to the conclusion that this is just some dumb Republican slogan? Quit being so onesided. Try to learn. Don't blame everything on Republicans. Try to actually BE open minded.

Republicans are not known for that slogan, dumba--. Johnny Cochran, OJ's lawyer, is the one who said that.

That statement wasn't in a political context....but was used by the late Johnny Cochrane in the OJ Simpson murder trial...and as a defense attorney, I highly doubt Cochrane was a conservative...
