I took a Urine Test....? But It was Negative...I am only 5days...?

Question

I took a urine test at the hospital the day before yesterday, and it came out negative today, But I am still 5 days late with no period! Should I wait a a week or 2 weeks to see if I get my period and if I don't should I take a Blood test because it is more accurate? If that comes put negative then should I consult a doctor to whether find out why my period has not arrived?

And no I don't want to be pregnant... But if it happens it happens there are reasons why thing happen... I let nature take it's course. I just find it wierd I haven't gotten my period and I have always, ALWAYS been on time since the age of 9 when I first got it!

I am not stressed or anything like that I am a very relaxed person and always happy has can be.

BHCG or Beta Human Chorionic Gonadatropin is the enzyme that is detected in Blood or Urine which is produces shortly after conception. Depending on the test some tests detect 50 ul which is about 6 days with child. The test are usually the same. Urine will be diluted if not done first morning void. If you drink water frequently and your urine is clear then you need to be a few weeks ago before the BHCG is detected. Blood is never diluted and will give you the most accurate indication of whether there is a fetus growing in your womb or not. You can use a EPI froma store and if done after 8 hours sleep and the first morning void, and the control strip worked you can be pretty confident of the answer.

I Took a Dollar Store Urine Pregnancy Test And It Came Up Positive The Morning I Was Supposed To Start My Period before I Even Knew I Had Missed My Period...They Are Pretty Accurate.......

Yes just wait for alittle while a week or so then if no period then yes go to the doctor and get a blood test...sometimes the pregnancy hormone is not very high and the urine test will be negative but a blood test will be able to tell you.

Well if your period has not come and the the test keeps coming out negative,then don't you think that you have a little one on the way? So don't be scared just talk to a doctor to find out more information about what's going on with you and you'll be just fine. Good Luck!!! :-)

My sister is going through the same thing but I told her to have done it in another 2 week cuz by then she will be 7 week and the HCG hormone is very detectable... I also recommend that to you has well. If not wait to your next month period an dif you still don't get anything go to the doctor and ask why?

Take a blood test. I took 6 preg tests with my middle DD, the first at a few days late, and everywhere after, including one at my docs office. Took some pills that were supposed to make me get my period, to finally give me a positive and I was 8.5 weeks along!

5 days? I'd say you must be stressing BIG TIME. Calm down. Relaxxxxxx. And wait a month-- then if it doesn't come, go back to the Dr for a urine or blood test.

in a couple of weeks go to your doctor (obgyn) and ask them to give you the test, they are usually very accurate at the doctors office. if it is negative and you still don't have your period then you are probably fine, but if you skip your period again next month i would have a blood test done

Girlie- With early pregnancy- you have to do a blood test. Urine test only works if it's been months maybe weeks into it. If negative still then- maybe you have irregular periods- which lots of girls do have.

that sounds like a good idea to me...wait a week or 2 and then maybe take another pregnancy test or blood test. if it still comes out negative, ask your doc about it.
