i have ...bipolar and mania and anxiety can lithium help with all of these? i also take effexor and xanax...

Lithium has been used for depression, bipolar disorders, mania, as well as anxiety. Each patient responds differently. Sometimes doctors prescribe a "cocktail" of different medications, since not every med works for every person.

There are several different drugs that can be used to treat bipolar disorder other than lithium. You should talk to a psychiatrist about this.
