i know most people use it to get what they want out of a relationship. the word is used and played with so many times half the time by people who don't know what that word means. it's hard for some people to express their feelings, sometimes people just don't know what to do or say. people may be scared of the commitment because of a bad experience in a past relationship. there is a whole lot of reasons, people are different and handle their emotions differently than others. not all people are open with showing their feelings.

I personally believe that actions speak louder than words. So while one person has a hard time saying the actual words, they can show it in their actions. For example, this past Valentine's day, my boyfriend (who is in the Navy, in Iraq) sent me a bouquet of purple flowers, various kinds of flowers. When we got to talk on the phone later, he told me that he remembered my favorite color was purple, and thought that sending me purple flowers would be more meaningful than the usual red roses. That is when I knew he truly loved me, and I love him.

'Cause any shallow, horny person can utter the words. But actually doing something to demonstrate love may take some effort and self sacrifice. It may require putting someone else's needs and wants ahead of their own.

Becaue Love is an action verb and talk it cheap. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Sometimes people don't really mean it, it's sad that those three words can mean so much and so little. When someone says "I love you." you think of how "you love" and then reflect that onto them by thinking that is how they feel. Don't throw those words around unless you truly mean them.

Its not, really.
Think about it, if you truly love someone, it will come out in ways you didnt even intend it to through your actions.
