it only appeals to mindless teens that just follow trends and listen to gross music with nasty, pointless videos.
The rap industy is no longer about creativity and honesty, but now it's just become a money race that degrades women and promotes sexuality, alcohol, hating cops, etc.
i am a teen but i won't lower myself to listen to that kind of music.
i listen to alternative, && emotive (a.k.a. "emo")
but doesn't anyone agree that it sends a horrible message?

kill your television....commercial media is crap....but u guys need to expand what u listen to....2 much emo can be depressing no? there is tons of GREAT music out there....all mtv wants to do is sell u crap anyhow....i listen to lots of underground rap and the focus is not on sex and money...its just that intelligent rap wont sell any jeans or hamburgers i guess

i do not agree..... i mean you cant judge all rap people and videos the same because there are some rappers out there not many i know but SOME who are trying to change that image of rappers by not having videos that degrade women but have them there to add to the beauty of their music videos. you shud not jump to comclusions because u have made the same mistake as many others who jumped to conclusions about that because the best known or older rappers do degrade women but NOT ALL OF THEM DO THAT

I AGREE! Mtv used to be a cool show which played originally ROCK! but suddendly rap stared to be played. i dont have any thing against rap i like rap to but old school rap like 2pac but suddendly dum trash like 50cents and reggeton stared to appear this kind of new stuff is horrible. thank god i like emo,punk,and metal!
