I think everyone does. Like someone putting the knife that they used to chop onions and they throw it in the sink without telling you that they put it there and you are innocent and reaching for another plate and then...........you start cussing and get in trouble. it stings t00.

Actually, I've never had that happen. I never just drop knives in the water and leave them, because then you lose them (and for me it's especially bad, because I have a habit of putting in too much dishsoap, so the foam completely obscures anything in there). I hold onto them and wash them, one at a time, never letting go of the one I'm washing.

I did that on a paring knife once. I cut the meat and everything. I didn't notice till I pulled out a bowl, and blood was like...pouring out.
