Absolutely. Drug marketing is a huge business and now everyone in America has gastric reflux disease, erectile dysfunction, lupus, depression and restless leg disorder. Check a medical book from the 1980s and before. None of these "conditions" existed in such numbers as they do now. Why is that? Because now we have a miracle drug that can cure you from whatever you may not even have. Ka-ching.
