I like Kingdom of Heaven better but they are both good movies.

Gladiator. The story moves more smoothly, the cinematography is rich and and the imagery more compelling. Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix made this movie a powerhouse. The relationships in the movie are complex and have depth, plus the fighting and action sequences are gritty and climatic.
I cry every time at the end, because I come to truly care about the character, Maximus.
I liked Kingdom of Heaven, but felt the story was a bit choppy, the relationships between the characters felt a bit forced, and the best line of the movie was Orlando Bloom slapping that poor kid when he knighted him, "This is so you remember it!".
Personal preference I suppose. I did like them both, but liked Gladiator much better!

I liked Kingdom of Heaven (just got the dvd, Movie Gallery $2) better. Some of the fights in Gladiator were cool but overall Heaven is a better story. After seeing Bloom as a wuss in Troy I was reluctant to see Kingdom of Heaven but finally got it from my library. I really enjoyed it. Gladiator was just ok, I didn't see what the fuss was all about.

Kingdom of Heaven, alot more accurate and just flat out a better movie. It focus's on carnage, virtue and a forever echoing piece of our history. Gladiator was good too but, yeah, not a snowball chance in hell of happening

I vote for Gladiator, Russel Crow is great and for me he is the best choice for the role... I saw Kingdom of Heaven and for some reason, I thought is kinda confusing not to mention the wrong cast (they shouldn't pick Orlando Bloom.. lol)

stuck in between..I like Kingdom of Heaven because it had Liam Neeson..but I like Gladiator because it's just a better movie..

I have to say Gladiator because of Joaq.uin Phoenix. He was one of those characters that you loved to hate.
