No, I have never had that misfortune, since I have a very ordinary name. I guess we should blame the parents for not giving too much thought and in some cases, too much, when choosing names for their kids. I know of some parents who give their kids names of folklore heroes. The names may have been hip then, but in these modern times, not so.
When I have kids, I will remember to give them ordinary names, like Joe or Mary. :)

im a guy and my name is kelly so of course the first few years of school were rough sometimes because u know how cruel some children can be.several times in my life i was disgusted with my name because of jackass people that will just look for some reason to hate u.but now i think my name is kind of unique.and chicks kind of dig my name now for some reason.

my agricutlure teacher called me rebecci or somthing like that like rebecca but like switch the a with the sound of e in meet. rebecci but i didnt mid if you had a name like that it means you where his teachers pet (( almost everyone was but if you werent you were like evather back talking him or somthing other than that he was really cool

yes they have and yes i hate it i have been called dear abby since elementary and beyond high school so now when people sat it i just ignore them until they get my name right
