Dissociate yourself from this friend and think of it as an expensive, but valuable life lesson.

MONEY COMES AND GOES, FRIENDS ARE FOR EVER!!!

if you really value that friend then forget about it! it is not worth it!
and if this person is just a casual acquaintance, Then keep bugging him untill he does pay you Like call him everyday, or email every day saying I want my money! he will then get tired of you harrasing him he will finaly pay up, Hopefuly!!

But if this person is a real good friend/ Best friend Then just think what is more inportant to you! the money or friendship!!

Years ago I loaned my best friend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars! Yes I was very upset, but my friendship was more priceless then what he owed me!! and yes we are still good friends to this day!! good luck, Just keep in mind what is more inportant to you!! The money or the Friend!!

We had a friend who needed money, we didnt have much at the time I think just £20, he was an a***hole, and we weren't that friendly with him really he was too much of a cadger. We said he could have £10 of it on the promise he came round on Friday when he got paid from work and pay us back. He didn't come round on the Friday and he hasn't been around here for 7 years now, so in our opinion it was £10 well spent.......lol

Make it a policy not to loan money to anyone. A real friend would not ask for a loan for much more than the cost of lunch.

Now if you loned it to them with the understanding they will have to re-pay you then you should have a time fram to work with. But if on the other hand you just gave it to them with out a re-pay time fram then it is theirs to keep. But if you loned it to them and feel it is time to pay up. and thay refuse then thay needed it more then you.

Keep the friendship and call it a "lesson learnd" friendship meens more then money. Just hope they understand the next time they need a lone and you say no. But if you do shame on you...

Just remember the next time they ask you for a loan, and remind them about the last one that they neglected to pay back. Don't ruin a friendship over it, but they have bad credit with you now.

i wouldn't ask anymore . if they cant repay the debt that's different .
but if they just couldn't be bothered and were mucking me around id not ask them about it and not bother with them . if they were my Friend they would have given it me back and thanked me by then , or they would come to me and say sorry but explain the problem and i of course would understand as i valued their friendship and honesty in the situation .
you have times like these in your life when you find who your Friends are and feel this would be one of them for me ..

I'd ask him politely one more time to repay the loan and give him a week in which to do it...
then if after one week and i have received no payments, then it's open season...

THEN I'd tell him (if he can still hear) to f@ckoff coz our friendship iz over!

I've learned the hard way not to loan what you can't afford to lose. You can still be friends just remember not to loan them anything again.

Take them by surprise, turn them upside down, shake, and yell: "GIVE ME YOUR LUNCH MONEY!" Repeat until you get the amount they owe you. Or go on Judge Judy. :P
