ussually when i start the comp, the shortcuts are small, the normal size, but now i have the shortcuts really big and theres only room for 40 shortcuts when ussually theres room for 80 or so.
what can i do?

Right click on the desktop and change your screen resolution my friend

right click on your desktop...go under properties
go to settings...there will be a little bar that has some numbers on it...and as you slide the little tab across the bar, it will show different sizes you can adjust your computer monitor to show
pick the one you want, then hit apply

right click your desktop and click on properties. click on the settings tab. move the screen resolution slider around till you got the size you want.

on desktop right click mouse go to properties then in settings change resolution to 1o24 x768.thats it!
