That's what Angelina Jolie named the little African girl she adopted...Zahara Marley (after Bob Marley). For a middle name, it's weird. For a first name, it's even more weird. Josephine, however, is beautiful. :)

If she was from Jamaica or if you are a Bob Marley fan that would be a honorable name, You must think of the torment that the kids have to deal with when they are nailed with older names. This is a new day in age so I think you should consider more up-to-date names!

It's a little too old-sounding. And not like middle aged sounding, but like 19th century. But Josephine is a good middle name!

Good luck, congrats!

I really understand the intention of people who gives strange names for their child. They intend to make their kids sounds unique. Isn't a name you never heard in your life would make them be or feel unique. Screwing with their name will make them sound like a fish out of the water. ( if things keep getting like this, soon we will hear people naming their child by their favorite brand of beer or recepie). Hey Budwiser come over here!!! Is Lazagna Pizza Brule already back home? Put yourself on their place, their name will be their mark for the rest of their life.
One day they will grow up, and have diferent influences and different people to admire too. If you name your girl, and she grows up not loving Bob Marley as you do ( I woudn't like him if I have his name and not my own name) she will have to carry this for the rest of her life .Now, what about she becomes a great singer and have to hear everyone calling her DIDO!!! What is the first thing you think when you hear that? What kind of parents do you think she has? What were they doing when chose this name? (doing drugs peharps, or they are air minds).
This is mean and selfish on my opinion. Sometimes we try to make things look so so good that we loose common sense. I don't want to upset you, but put yourself on her place, even if you would love have this name, it doesn't mean she will.
Keep simple and clean!
I think just Josephine is beautiful, sounds very classy, fine and on my view, seems to be chosen buy parents who have not only good taste, but education too (even if they don't have it, its seems to have, seems to be parents that know things, people with big minds that knows culture, history and the world, well I would say people whom know things because had options to chose from by their life's experince.
I hope I have makeup your mind about that, wherever name you choose, your love will make her feel unique, not some name, that seems to be a fusion of name, words or things.
Tom Crusie and Angelina Jolie , have done that, not because they want to give their child a unique name, but because they want to promote tehmeslves. Money is make out of that.
