A US embassy staffer in Vienna says he did. Reportedly, a slew of conservative Republican Bush supporters wanted to get Bush's autograph on US flags. And Bush signed them. Right on the flags.
Respect for flag
The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.
Does Bush have NO respect for the American Flag?

"Hate" is a powerful word...
And...
Bush cut budgets from programs such as medicaid, food stamps, farm subsidies, agency budgets (such as from the Pentagon), and student loan programs.
He also raised premiums to employers for government insurance of their employees' and retirees' pension benefits and fees on students who default on loans or consolidate them and higher fees on parents who borrow on behalf of their college-age children.
California Rep. George Miller (news, bio, voting record), the senior Democrat on the panel, called the package a "raid on student aid."
Bush also cut budgets from child support enforcement.
Bush tightened eligibility standards for foster care assistance in nine states and delay some lump-sum payments to very poor and elderly beneficiaries of Social Security's Supplemental Security Income program.
Bush also eliminated payments to industries harmed by unfair foreign trade practices.
"They are targeting programs for poor people to pay for tax cuts for rich people," said Rep. David Obey (news, bio, voting record), D-Wis. Once those tax cuts are passed, Obey added, deficits will be increasing again.
On the student loan information sheet, the maximum amount a first-year college student could receive as a loan from the government is $2625 or somewhere in that proximity. That amount will cover less than 1/5 of college expenses for a university with annual expenses (everything including books, tuition, room & board, etc.) of $14,000.00. I know because I will be a first-year college student and I already feel the pressure.
So...
Do I like Bush? Not really; I hate him; I hate him; I hate him; I hate him; I hate him; I hate him; I hate him. "Hate" is, indeed, a powerful word, much more powerful than "dislike," but it is so often used it is sometimes meaningless. I hate every f%^#*@$ thing Bush has done in office. Add one more word to "hate" and it has a whole new meaning. And I do hate every f%^#*@$ thing Bush has done in office.

What a load of crock...
That report is not mentioned at any reputable news source. It only exists in the minds of bloggers who sit on the "looney left". Americablog is where the rumor appears to have originated from.
Furthermore, you're not talking about a flag. If he signed a miniature sized souvenir that resembles a flag, it's not the same thing. The government will tell you the proper dimensions and material that make an object qualify as a true national flag. I'm sure Bush signed nothing of the sort.
And finally, do you think that flag burning or defacing with the intent of protest would fall in the SAME BALLPARK as what the President allegedly did?
Seal up that crack in your head, your IQ is leaking...

She certainly is. Though she may have been yapping about the Tea Party and lost her train of thought underneath. That's how it goes with the woman. You know...Sarah the MILF...thinking for yourself gives you wrinkles.... Not like I get too upset over a person scribbling on a piece of cloth, but she seems to be one of those many who would condemn anyone else who's done the same thing. She definitely preaches enough about "patriotism," and "real Americans" to remind me of those die-hard fans who will lose their cool over the smallest thing that endangers a flag sewn in Taiwan by a third grader for two cents an hour, then purchased here for two bucks. Hypocrite.

Respect the Flag I agree. I don't think your source is correct. I can't imagine Bush defacing a flag. Especially in a public place.

i think u are being very narrow minded. he was giving respect towards the flag if anything. burning the flag is defacing it. peeing on the flag is defacing it.wripping up the flag is defacing it. signing it is not defacing it nor is it disrespectful, escpecially considering who it was signing it. THE PRESIDENT OF THE US. thats a compliment to the flag, if anything. where do u come?

Your also not supposed to have a flag out after dark without a spotlight shining on it, and you aren't allowed to leave it out in the rain.

According to WHO? Prove your statement or it's a RUMOR.
At least he's not selling nights in the Lincoln Bedroom to Chinese lobbyists who make huge campaign contributions. How about selling gravesites in Arlington National Cemetary to political contibutors like your last pres. did.
You LIB's never cease to amuse me.
