Like Sapprie, or Asus, cause it's cheaper - is there any difference between an official card from Ati, nVidia, and an "unofficial" one

is there an "unofficial" card that's better then others like is a Asus higher quality than a sappire or other??

Look into the chip-set, and GPU what speed is it? ram?? etc.....
There lies the answer to the question for any card generic or name brand!

I would feel confident in the ASUS card. Some of them use Nvida and others ATI chip-sets ASUS makes quality mobos, so it stands to reason that their video cards would carry the same level of quality.

Type in the name of card you want buy and search for a website that will give you product ratings. Try Tiger Direct or Amazon to see product ratings. That should give you an idea of what you are buying, then purchse it from the place you wish.

these off brand card makers buy the gpu from nvidia and have a license that dictates to them what memory then can use. the really is no major difference. i prefer BFG because of the lifetime warranty

I'm working in computer field and believe me the best brand is ASUS. I say this from my long experience.
Buy ASUS and you will see the BEST.
