For all intents and purposes your cell phone is now useless. Even if you are able to get the it to dry out, any type of moisture as and ongoing negative effect on cell phone. Here are your options: have the authorized user on the account call Verizon Customer care or go into a store and check if you have insurance, if you do they will process it for you with a $50 copayment; if no insurance you will have to pay full price for a new phone, unless you currently qualify for an upgrade.

There are a few things that can be done. The fact is whether or not you want your parents finding out. If you are self sufficient (car, license, or transportation adn your own money) then you can go to a cellphone repair place and have it fixed for 50-100 bucks fairly easily. YOu can also contact the company and have them replace the phone (generally for free if not then for a small charge). I "doubt" your parents are assholes. If something was done by accident don't be afraid to tell them about it. Just explained what happened and tellt hem in the future you will be much more careful (you can even buy things to seal them so they don't get wet).

I've dropped mine in water several times. I just took it apart and let it air dry and it has worked everytime. Still works like new. I lost mine going into a club one time and found it later when I was leaving in the puddle of water next to my car. So it had to have been there atleast 3-4 hours. Its a samsung. Works great.

You have one of two options that I see here:
1. Have the phone repaired by a *qualified* person, like your cell phone company or the company who made your phone, or
2. Just buy a new phone.

To transfer your old contacts and phone numbers, just ask them to implant the old SIM card into your new phone.

You've most probably blown the phone. Other friends of mine got their phones wet in the bath or in pools of water.

If it ends up working you are lucky but eventually it will breakdown on you and I guarantee you that you will need a new cellphone!
