when some gets married, is it 1 or 2 rings you buy for the wife?.....whats a wedding band?....i thought you just buy he a wedding ring, why 2?

engagement ring kinda marks her as taken. Wedding band lets others know she is REALLY taken.

First when you get engaged you buy her an engagement ring and then the wedding band comes when you get married. That is why two rings are worn and the man usually just wears the wedding band! Hope this helps:)

Generally a man buys a diamond engagement ring. Than for the wedding there is a plain band, which is a ring with no diamonds or anything on it, one for the husband and one for the wife. So the wife generally wears her engagement ring and her wedding band and the husband wears just the band. During the ceremony the husband and wife exchange the bands as a token of their love and affection.
