I know it's a decision you make and one outweighs the other, but how?

Get a piece of paper. Draw a line down the middle. On the left put all the things you want. On the right, list what bad thing will happen if you don't get the thing on the left.

Now start numbering them with a #1 representing Death and progressing upward to #20 representing Nothing. Items CAN have the same number.

#1 through #10 are things you need. This is called PRIORITIZING and it's important in avoiding bankruptcy and celibacy.

People need: Shelter, food and water, heat or cooling and clothing and money and education.
People want: Their nails and hair done, nice cars, nice houses, that cute little outfit, a musical instrument, a pet, flowers, new furniture.
Everything basic to our survival as a species is a NEED. Everything else are WANTS! I hope this clears things up for you.

Common sense:
Wants: extra clothing that you don't need and that still has the price tag on or that you want just to wear it and show it off to make people think your better, fancy cars, diamonds/jewelry, junk food, going out to shop or for entertainment everyday, etc...
Needs: Rent/Mortgage payments, phone bill, gas, electric, food bills, medical, taxes, charities, etc...

want is without them you will be fine, with them you'll be satisfy
