I would say neither...it is Jamaican. Here's what wikipedia says: Ska is a form of Jamaican music which began as early as the 1930s. Combining elements of traditional mento and calypso with an American jazz and rhythm and blues sound, it was a precursor in Jamaica to rocksteady and later reggae.

Ska is a Jamaican form of music that preceded reggae. Started back in the 30`s, I think. It combined elements of calypso with American rhythm and blues and jazz. It came and went over the years but the most popular form of it came in the 90`s with the group, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. It`s sort of like a fast form of calypso with elements of punk music

Its kind of jazzy, rock...I don't really know how to describe it...It's like with a lot of trumpets and trombones. the music is really fast and kind of swingy..My best friends brother is in a Ska band called Skamikazy. check them out on myspace music to hear a clip of them playing.

its from kingston jamaica, the original stuff was based off reggae and had nothing to do with punk, the new stuff is influenced by punk rock, especially skacore (like the old stuff by the suicide machines)

it's very British, more than anything. I associate it with punk but I am not very familiar with it. There are horns used as well as guitars, and the beat is very bright and sharp.
