My grandma died a couple months ago. Some of the family is familiar with God and some aren't. No matter what they believe, everyone can remember good times with Grandma. Help them talk about the fun with her. We sat in the waiting room laughing with each other because of the things my 94 year old grandma had done in her life. Then we would take turns and go in and tell her goodbye. Everyone is going to deal with it in their own way. If you believe in God you could also ask them if they would like to pray with you over the phone. You'd be surprised what that can do, even if they aren't that close to Him.

She's your grandmother and you're here with her so why do you feel that you have to comfort them over the phone. The loss will be a huge affect on you also. You will have your own grief to deal with. If you feel like talking then talk but don't feel that it's up to you to comfort them. They should be asking is there anything they can do for you.

i lost my grandmother recently and i think the advice i can give here is to remember her when she passes on. Cherish the time you have with her. don't waste it. spend as much time with her as possible. or u might regret not being there in her last days. I know i regret it. I wasn' t their to say good bye. All u can do is be with her at this time then when she moves on remember her, don't forget her. u might want to get some things of hers and pass them off to the family members. that was what my aunt did she gave us photos, bracelets, necklaces, beads, anything that was hers. TELL HER HOW MUCH SHE IS LOVED

Just say,Grandmother loves all of you and whats you to know that she would like for everybody not to cry and stand strong has a family should..After the services and other..Have a party in honor and memory of grandmother..Thats how us Irish do,and remember all the good times we had with the person in question..It's not disrespectful,It's out of respect and a honor for your grandmother..I really think she would like to be remember in a happy way that sad..

Your grandmother has lived many years. With so many years of life all should remember the blessings that she has such as her children, grand children and such. My nationality believes in celebrating ones death as a tribute to the loved ones life. Start planning a tribute to her life and maybe make it a yearly event. Best wishes.

Grandma has had a great life-it's fortunate we've had her for so long. Grandma may be tired and ready to pass. I wish I was there to help you out.

I'm sorry for your impending loss. God will hold your Grandma in his arms.

just say how sorry you are for them, that you are thinking of them in this sad time, and that you hope they are able to cope as best as they can. a listening ear is the best thing.
